Williamsburg VA vacation packages begin with discovering the adventure of America’s past. Families love going back in time and watching history come to life as they explore America’s Historic Triangle. Living history demonstrations, engaging reenactments and hands-on exhibits showcase life in 18th century America. Williamsburg attractions like Colonial Williamsburg, the Jamestown Settlement and Historic Yorktown recreate history and make it fun to explore our nation’s rich history.

Colonial Williamsburg, the nation’s largest living history museum, is one of the popular things to do in Williamsburg VA as it is a 301-acre facility home to the restored capital of 18th century England’s largest and most important colony in the New World. Restored and reconstructed buildings and costumed interpreters tell the story of America. The Jamestown Settlement pays homage to America’s first permanent English colony. There are recreations of the colonists’ fort, three ships and a Powhatan Indian Village that depicts life in the early 1600s. Yorktown is the site of the final battle of the American Revolutionary Wa, and is home to the Yorktown Victory Center. Artifact-filled galleries and outdoor recreations showcase the life of Americans during the Revolutionary era.

Of course, there are modern fun things to do in Williamsburg VA too. Busch Gardens is a Europe-themed amusement park offering more than 50 rides and attractions, ten main stage shows, animal encounters and a variety of culinary experiences. Water Country USA, the mid-Atlantic’s largest water park, features more than 30 state-of-the-art water rides and attractions and is a fantastic way to have fun in the sun.
