Make plans to be at Riverwalk Landing on Saturday, December 15 for the final Yorktown Market Days and the Toyland Parade. Yorktown Market Days will conclude its season with the Holiday Market, featuring tons of great holiday foods, gifts, and decorations. The market is scheduled from 8am – 3pm. Also planned for that day is the annual Toyland Parade, beginning at 1pm.
Yorktown Market Days is located on the banks of the York River between Buckner and Ballard Streets. Arrive early and shop for Christmas presents, holiday decor, and local produce, meats, and baked goods. Over 40 vendors are expected to be at the market, including local artists bringing jewelry, paintings, toys, and stained glass. Other items on display will include holiday wreaths and garland, handmade soaps, candles, homemade peanut brittle, cakes and cookies, flowering bulbs, and flower arrangements.
Entertainment will be provided at the market with Christmas music to get you in the holiday spirit.
The fifth annual Toyland Parade is scheduled between 1-3pm at Riverwalk Landing in Historic Yorktown. Watermen’s Colonial Christmas Program with caroling, dancing, and games will kick things off at 1pm. The parade begins at 1:30 and children, families, and even pets are encouraged to join in the parade. All participants are encouraged to dress up in holiday apparel. The parade will be led by Santa, Mrs. Claus, and The Fifes and Drums of York Town.
Following the parade, the festivities continue with children’s arts and crafts, holiday games, and face painting. Ride the “Riverwalk Landing Polar Express” Train and visit with Santa Claus.
Free parking is available in several public parking areas throughout Historic Yorktown including the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, the County Administration Center and the York-Poquoson Courthouse Complex.
