Nice hotel. The room was spacious and clean upon arrival. The hotel was nice also with an indoor pool. I was disappointed because our air stopped working on day two and then our room wasn't cleaned on days two and three.

Let's face it, usually you get what you pay for- not the case at this Hampton Inn! Want to be treated like royalty by a friendly staff that has it together no matter what shift they work? Stay here! The beds are very comfortable, the free breakfast is very good, indoor pool AND hot tub! Even a mini-mart always open. Front desk is always present and always answers the phone! Imagine that! A full-service hotel that makes you feel valued and goes above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay- need I say more?

I stayed here on Saturday, November 11, 2017 as a break while driving from NJ to NC. It's 10-minutes from Exit 86B on 95 South. There were a few surprises: (1) During check in, the guy at reception told me to "take the last cookie" because he had "fresh ones in the back" for other guests. (2) I was assigned Room 409 in back of the elevator on the 4th floor. The shower has low water pressure, and I was unable to adjust the shower head. (3) The bathroom counter is tall; it's level with my waist. Great! (4) Light from the hallway shines through to the 2nd queen bed nearest the window and reflects off of the off-white bed cover. Therefore, the room is light overnight in spite of the blackout curtains. To logically block the light coming from under the door, I didn't want to put pillows or towels down on the floor, because the cleaning staff would have no way of knowing that they were dirty and used for that purpose. (5) At breakfast, the scrambled eggs were like cool pebbles. The pork sausages were greasy. The oatmeal was soupy. A staff member swept under the tables at 6:45 a.m., and a male guest was allowed to have breakfast barefoot and in his pajamas. (6) At breakfast, two guests from New England en route to Florida asked a staff member if he knew how to find a certain gas station in the area. His response was to hand them the TV remote and say they could put any program on the TV that they wanted to find. (7) I loved the charcoal grey carpeting in the common areas. The designers did a good job. (8) The experience cost me $113 + tax at the senior rate.

A lovely, well run hotel with all the amenities one would expect from a Hilton brand hotel. A super and friendly staff. I had booked into another hotel in Glen Allen and the front desk clerk handled changing my reservation at the same cost.

The staff was friendly and eager to be of help and make our stay enjoyable. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast area was the perfect spot to meet family as we gathered to head out and about, then gather by the fireplace in the evening to chat before heading up to our rooms.
