"Great stay"

We came here on a 6 day Promo that was offered to time share owners using minimal points. At check-in, we said we had reserved a handicapped unit which they verified, then they said there were none available, that was a big hiccup. Then we were told the handicapped units are reserved, but are on a first come, first serve basis. In other words, they can be all gone by the time you get here even though reserved by you. But how they get around this is by putting you in a unit that is at ground level, no stairs and offering you grips for easier entry/exit into bathroom structures. Our 2 bedroom unit was clean and comfortable, when we needed more of anything they were right here within 30 min to bring what was requested, and then they call you to follow up on the service. We did need a minor repair on the first day and that was not an issue, quickly resolved. The property is beautiful, well maintained. They offer free WIFI, but it was and still is sketchy, only 1-2 bars says limited. One observation is we had a spacious kitchen that was equipped with quality products right down to the knife set. They were actually sharp! The cooking utensils were good too, as an aside, we would have appreciated a cutting board, I use mine at home a lot and it was a one item I sure missed. They have a weekly list of activities for a wide span of age groups. The outdoor pool is not heated, but the indoor 1 is. They also have indoor and outdoor hot tubs that are great. One drawback, which we expected, is the obligatory presentation of how we need to spend more money to buy more points, no thanks. This place is close to many of the Williamsburg attractions so there is plenty to do and see. We took full advantage of that and used the coupons from the tourism books they offered at check in. One thing that I really liked about the property was it is a gated community with actual people manning the entrance. They look for the hang tag as a visual of your stay. The people at the desk were just wonderful, you could not ask for a more congenial group, no matter when I went there. In the lobby, there are 2 timed computers for your use. Also there is free coffee from the Keurig machine, a perfect touch. I did have a situation where I needed to printout and fax a document, Jack (front desk) was very helpful and accommodating, he was customer service personified.

"Great Location."

Great place to stay because of location. Close to everything you would want to do in the Williamsburg area. New Town, 2 minutes away, Colonial Williamsburg about 5 to ten minutes, restaurants anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes away, Yorktown about 25 minutes. If you are traveling with a family, this is a great place to stay because of it size, plenty of room, separate bedrooms, kitchen, nice living room and great pool area. Beware of the timeshare pitch at the Concierge desk, that is the only reason they are there. We have stayed here many times in the past and have always had a comfortable room, Living room furniture, beds, but this time we got one of the old rooms (apparently they are refurbishing the units) and it was very uncomfortable.

"Great weekend stay"

We stayed here last weekend during a bowling tournament in Williamsburg. Used a Groupon offer and it was definitely a great bargain. We usually get hotel rooms but decided to give this resort a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The two-bedroom suite was like home away from home. We really enjoyed the spacious layout and full kitchen. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean, for the most part. There were cobwebs in the living room and hair in the bathrooms.

"Excellent condo unit/location, but be aware of rude concierge"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed November 10, 2017
My family and I recently stayed at this vacation resort for a 3 night/4 day stay. Be aware that it is a Timeshare Resort (which I was fully aware of when we booked our stay). However, I booked our room via a regular Hotel booking website, and not through the timeshare. My family and I simply wanted to get away, enjoy Williamsburg and celebrate my husband's birthday. Upon check in, the lady at the desk was very friendly, nice and helpful. Then I was directed to go to the Concierge desk. Having stayed here many times in the past, I thought they would simply give me a bagful of local interest magazines, coupons and maps, along with some coffee filters for the room. Instead, I was met by an elderly, rude, pushy salesman type man. He took my ID to see what kind of "discounts" I would "qualify" for, and then asked if my husband was staying with me. I already knew the reason he was asking was because he was going to bug me about attending a timeshare meeting, which I have ZERO interest about. Sure enough, after I answered "yes", he immediately went on with his pushy sales pitch about "which 8:30 AM" meeting during my stay would I want to attend. I told him I had no interest (afterall, I booked this place as a "hotel" and not as a "timeshare"). He continued to push me into trying to attend an early morning meeting during my "vacation", and when I told him that my mother was already a Timeshare owner at this location, he rudely answered, "That doesn't matter." SO RUDE! Then he proceeded to have me fill out some form for a "drawing every Wednesday" for a chance to win some prize. I told him I would be checking out before Wed., and he rudely replied, "I KNOW! You don't have to be here for that." What a jerk! Other than that experience with the Concierge, our condo unit was amazing and despite the annoying check-in experience, we still had a WONDERFUL stay! We would definitely come back again and I recommend staying at this vacation resort if you plan to visit Williamsburg for more than a couple days. You might just want to say, "No Thank You" when they have you stop by the Concierge Desk, located right across the check-in desk.

"Dingy apartment, gets location"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

Good things: - apartments are generous in size, and as we had 2 adjoining ones to accommodate our whole family, there was loads of room for us all plus we had an upstairs 2 bed as well for the w/e for the other part of the family. Masses of room for us all. Loved the master bathroom size; the corner tub; the fireplace in the living room (electric fake fire); the crisp white sheets and large and plentiful towels; huge master comfortable king bed. - whole resort is spacious and well tended; grills; indoor and outdoor pools; mini golf (18 hole); games to borrow; activities (we chose not to do those, and there is an extra cost involved); beautiful layout; children's play areas - 2 large and 1 small; friendly staff. - good location; easy to get to local shops, to Colonial Williamsburg, to the Outlets. - great for families. - staff were lovely Not-so-Good-things: - apartments needed a huge refurb. When we first entered the stale old musty smell was awful. We bought airfresheners, scented candles, spray. The staleness was awful. Then for the w/e we had the upstairs apartment as well - and it has recently had the carpet steam cleaned. The difference was huge - clean carpet (downstairs the carpets in the 2 adjoining apartments were filthy and stained) and no bad smell. It looked clean and smelled clean. - only 3 saucepans: 1 large, 1 medium, 1 small. Not enough for cooking for 6 people. BUT - they were of excellent quality - Cuisinart, as was the blender. - the bathroom ware is chipped and stained. - faded splendour. Dated, faded and in need of an update. HOWEVER - we had a great time and loved it and would come back (with more air fresheners....!)
