"Time share turn off"

Nice room. Great location. High pressure timeshare push. We went to a presentation that committed us to 2 hours. It ran 3 hours plus. Very tiring. Why not stick to 2 hours. The presentation is given by a shady used car salesmen type presenter. They throw all kinds of numbers at you then bring in managerz etc. so bush league Plus the indoor swimming pool was being repaired along with the jacuzzi. Why did I pay $10 a night if broken? All in all not a bad place. Stay away from the timeshare. Run away from it

We stayed in a two-bedroom, 2- bath unit for two nights while traveling with our daughter and her family, which included two young children. I had requested a recently renovated room since we had a one-year old baby with us. The young lady who took care of us at check in was very helpful and gave us a choice of a few units. We were very happy with our rental; it was newly decorated and very clean, with a good carpet for the baby. The resort itself is very large and very well cared for. I give it only a three rating because of two problems we had and that I had seen in other reviews: (1) The hard sell to purchase a time share is just annoying to guests; we successfully avoided any interaction with the "concierges" although one did call our room when we had just put the baby down for a nap. (2) We also had the problem I'd seen in other reviews of our room keys (keycards) being deactivated one full hour before the stated check out time of 10 am. I hate to think of what might have happened if we had not had adults still in the room with the children when we were locked out! When I called the front desk to complain about this I was just given a curt answer of "the cards are good until 10:30." No offer to come and let us back in the room if we had been locked out without our luggage or children. So unless the management can do away with these two very upsetting practices, we won"t stay here again.

"Very disappointing level of service"

Stayed here before and gave it a glowing resort However on this visit i am being generous at 2 stars. Although we were checked in and given keys when we arrived at the apartment it was clear that it wasnt ready for occupation. As we arrived a member of housekeeping arrived and hurriedly fitted pillowcases and put towels in the apartment. When she left it became obvious that the apartment hadnt been cleaned for some time and the apartment was very poorly equiped. We completed a mid stay report and was promised that the apartment would be cleaned the following day. This never happened. There is a service charge of $10 per day which includes wifi. The wifi signal is poor and there were only 2 saucepans in a sleep 6 apartment. This 2 bed apartment is about half the size of our previous apartment. Ask for an apartment in blocks 12 to 27. Although the resort was empty we were pushed into block 11 which is near the entrance not the facilities. Concierge was abrupt and impolite and planned activities were already sold out when we checked in. My advice would be to give the resort a wide berth until such time as Diamond sort themselves out at this resort.

The resort is close Colonial Williamsburg sites. It was an older resort, but comfortable. The worst thing is the extra $10.00 per day fee added to your credit care. The fee was supposed to be an activity fee, but we did not see anything except a swimming pool which was too cold to use. This should have been included with owner yearly maintenance fee like other timeshare properties.

"Great amenities for family vacation!"

Enjoyed our week vacation there during February 2018. Grounds were well maintained and felt safe walking around at night. There are several activities on and off the resort for entertaining children during the warmer months. Our suite was very clean and was surprised to have a washer and dryer in a closet (noisy when in use though). Rooms were comfortable and roomy. Enjoyed the ambiance of the lighted fireplace (did not radiate heat--just for show). Our bed was broken when we arrived, but called housekeeping and they fixed it right away. Also the bathroom cabinet door came off its hinges, and they repaired it quickly. . . very efficient and friendly staff. There is not a restaurant on the resort, but shopping centers and restaurants are close by. Will stay again and bring my two grandchildren during the summer; they will have a ball.
