"Fantastic Week for Six Friends"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Six of us met at Greensprings Vacation Resort Sept 16-23 in Williamsburg VA. At check-in you receive an event calendar, parking pass, swipe keys, and pay amenities fee of $8 per unit/per day ($8 x 7 days). The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. Parking is free with no assigned spaces. It is non-smoking and no pets. For our RCI week, we had one free towel exchange so we called Tuesday, left a pile of used ones by our front door, and they left clean ones in a big bag while we were gone. They have 29 buildings and renovate 3 each year. It is 15 minutes from the center of Williamsburg with its Colonial architecture (building code). The main building had a nice, huge, indoor, heated, saltwater pool, massive hot tub, and large plush towels. Outside was a large heated saltwater pool and soaking tub (like a hot tub without a button to make water swirl). We loved the beautiful 18 hole miniature golf course (free). There is also foosball, shuffleboard, ping pong, gym, BB, VB, tennis, horseshoe pits. You can rent bicycles. We were in Building 12, Unit 54E on 1st floor, which was convenient for us. Inside the door, you could walk up 14 carpeted stairs to 2nd floor or another 14 for 3rd floor (no elevator). Our unit was spacious, clean, 2 bedrooms/2 large baths that slept 6 with two of us on the very comfortable memory foam sofabed in the living room with two overstuffed chairs, gas fireplace and remote. The master bedroom was spacious, 1 king bed, large bath with separate shower, tub, and double vanity. We were fortunate to ask for and get the 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds. (Some units have 1 queen bed.) The dining room had a table for 6. Full kitchen had set of nonstick Calphlon cookware, Cuisinart small appliances, service for 8, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher packets. There were 3 TVs, vacuum in closet, stackable washer and dryer, box of laundry soap for 1 use, large deck with table and 4 chairs. The wifi was fine in our unit. It had clean, beautiful grounds, some grills (bring charcoal), picnic tables, 24 hour security, front gate manned by security, surrounded by Williamsburg National Golf Course that Jack Nicklaus designed. It was 24 miles/33 minutes from Williamsburg/Newport News International Airport.

"A great place to hang out and enjoy US historical sites"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

Whether visiting the historical sites in the area, wanting to golf, or enjoy a quiet resort gettaway, Greensprings provides nice and clean apartments, as well as diverse outdoor activities that are excellent for family vacations. A great place to start making family memories. We played volleybal, ping-pong, tennis and had lots of fun. Our upper corner condo that overlooked the forest and golfcourse was quiet and it was very peaceful to sit on the large balcony, enjoying the birds. It was on the third floor and the facility doesn't have elevators, so that may be restricting some from the top floor. All together it was a nice place to hang our hats for a week enjoying a friendly Greensprings hospitality.

Nice accommodations, excellent front desk and concierge services, abundance of activities available. Tennis courts needs some repairs, pool very nice. Stayed in September so the pool side food cabana was closed for the season. Decent golfing in the area. Would stay here again.

Greensprings condos are very comfortable and clean. Very nice. We exchanged into it and very happy about the swap. We would definitely do this again. It is located at a reasonable distance from historical Williamsburg and a pretty close distance from Jamestown. Great location.

"Worst Resort Condo I've ever stayed in"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed September 15, 2017
While the exterior looked nice, the inside of the condo left much to be desired. We instantly noticed the stained carpet, and scratched and gouged tables. The small closet that contained the washer/dryer and water heater had a metal barrier on the floor containing rusty water - standing, rusty water. If an item of clothing fell while transferring from the washer to the dryer, it fell in the rusty water, staining the clothing. We used the indoor pool one night, and it was a nice pool. When leaving the pool (around 8:30 pm) the kids saw the mini golf, which was lit. The next night we went to play mini golf, at 7:15, only to be told that they close at 7:00. There was still an hour of daylight left, but they closed. So we paid an $8 a day resort fee, to swim twice in the pool. Other Diamond resort vacation condos we have stayed at, we were able to golf until 10 pm. I suspect the folks manning the athletic building were just too lazy to allow us to play.
