This is not up to Marriott standards. As a frequent Marriott guest, cleanliness is not their top priority. The bed was lumpy. The bar that holds the bed protrudes so easy to trip. Bathroom was small. Stain in the dresser. There is a slight mildew smell that was covered with paint. As a platinum elite member, we weren't welcomed with upgrades or any anything at all. My husband had to tell them that we are platinum elite members and all we got was a key card that said Platinum Elite. No paper in the morning delivery and copy of bill wasn't delivered to door on morning of checkout. We always bring Lysol wipes & thank God we did. Everything we wiped down was filthy. Very disappointed in this stay. Breakfast was ok but wish they had more than just corned beef hash for meat. Couldn't wait to check out in the morning.
We have been searching for a new hotel to stay when visiting Williamsburg since our old one was bought by the College for dorms. I think we have found it. The rooms were very nicely appointed and very clean. The A/C units were the standard type mounted under the window. But they didn't seem to be as noisey as some of them can be. The front desk staff was very friendly and always asked how our stay was going when we walked in from a day of activities. The breakfast was typical Marriott fare. I think I saw the same type muffins at the Marriott we stay at in Alexandria. But there are several good choices for breakfast within walking distance from here. And if you need anything else, there is a nice Walgreen's just 2 blocks away. The only possible negative may be the parking. The parking spots are rather tight and although there seem to be plenty of them, the parking lot is long and narrow. So it may be a little bit more of a walk at times. Other than that, it was a very nice place to call "home" when visiting WIlliamsburg.

We often stay in Fairfield Inns: they are affordable, spotless, and provide a great breakfast. The Fairfield Inn, just outside the Colonial Williamsburg historic area, was special. We used Marriott Reward points, so the room was free, and we thought because of that we'd be given the most basic accommodations possible. Not so. Our room was a suite with separate sitting area (and second TV) and two baths. We were traveling with our 12 year old granddaughter who was able to have her own bathroom and separate TV as we're not into the Disney Channel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or gracious.
We stayed at this hotel for a clinic at the College of William and Mary. The service was great breakfast was good, room was clean and the staff was friendly. The hotels close to any restaurants on a fairly busy street. It is set back off the road so that it is still a quiet setting.
