"Dirty and Rundown"
October, 2018
If you like staying in a rundown dirty hotel, this is the place for you. The staff made the bed but that was about it. There was previous trash under the bed and behind the bedside table. No trashcan in the room. Had to practically beg staff for towels. I wouldn't recommend this dump to anyone.

The accommodations were the absolute pits. The room was not very clean, the bathroom had hair from previous occupants, toilet didn't work (fixed it myself), the shower curtain rod was barely hanging on the wall, there were bed bugs. The gentleman at check-in mentioned that the suite was to be remodeled next year. My personal opinion, it should be done immediately! Can believe Country Inn & Suites would run an operation like this!

"Clean and friendly"
July, 2018
I am giving this hotel 4 stars, not because anything was bad, but because it wasn't an exceptional experience. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, the included breakfast was good. Everything we expected from a hotel. Just nothing extra that would make me think 5 stars.

Tip: The only complaint would be that half the parking lot was are the bottom of a huge hill. This made loading and unloading the car seem a daunting task. There was a luggage cart available at the entrance, so we opted to use that to unload before parking, however the wheels were horribly misaligned making the cart unstable and it tipped over twice while trying to wheel it into the building. So either pack light, or hope they get a new luggage cart before your stay,

"Wonderful Surprise"
July, 2016
After spending the entire day at Busch Gardens, I traveled only 5 minutes down the road to what was a wonderful hotel with fantastic service. We were treated the next morning to a great continental breakfast before traveling down the road only 5 minutes to Water Country USA. I would and have already recommended this hotel to anyone who is taking a trip to the Williamsburg area.

"Its alright"
July, 2016
Location is perfect for Williamsburg, Waterpark and Busch Gardens. Short drive to many restaurants, stores etc. Price was very affordable with a package from reserve that also provided theme park tickets and Colonial Williamsburg. The hotel has nice outdoor pool and has hot breakfast ,which is Ok. Room was reasonably clean, beds were good size and comfortable. Computers don't work and there was a towel shortage every day. Staff was polite and helpful and did supply things when they were requested. Overal, it was OK.

We were going to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens and saw the 3.5 star reviews and a great deal- we booked it! The place felt like a cheap double wide. The walls were paper thin, everything looked like it hadn't been updated since the 90's. Broken Things were just patched like they just wanted to get by.... The pull out sofa had 2 large blood stains on the mattress. The staff was very helpful and accommodating! That was the same in grace but the room itself was bad. Not worth it even for the discounted rate. They are starting renovations but I wouldn't come back.

Nasty stain on carpet, maid service unacceptable - job was not done - ie: vacuuming, making bed, replenishing towels, toilet paper, tissues. Wallpaper peeling off bathroom wall, no fan in bathroom, and toilet seat had chips out of it.

"No way this is a 3 star hotel"

We have visited Williamsburg many times and this is by far one of the worst we have stayed in. This was a last-minute Priceline booking of what was supposed to be a 3-star express deal. There is absolutely no way this hotel should be billed as 3 stars The rooms are extremely dated and not very clean. The lampshade on the desk was full of mold. Beds are not very comfortable and believe it or not they had wrapped a throw pillow in a pillowcase as a feeble attempt to pass it off as a sleeping pillow. It was not worth the savings of the Priceline deal. There are much better places in the area to stay at a reasonable price.

My wife and I travel extensively, for either business or vacation, using Radisson properties at times. Without a doubt, this was the very worst hotel stay we have experienced. This property once was a "find", however, this stay showed us it is time to find another Williamsburg hotel to patronize. First, this property is currently under renovation. Even on a Sunday, construction noise was heard in the morning. Have a desire to sleep a little later on a vacation Sunday....forget it. Looking out our room window, we could observe demolition debris being thrown out an upper-floor window into a large Waste Industries 30-yard dumpster. The parking lot was littered with broken bath tubs, old drapery, two-by-fours, and other construction materials. Our first floor room was dirty when we arrived. The bathroom was dusty and hair ladened. The carpeting is thread worn and needs a cleaning. Dust was everywhere. Tree leaves were on the floors and on the blankets. We brought this to the attention of the front desk, but we needed to resort to using Lysol Wipes to clean the room. The bed blankets are thin. Well, the word thin is generous. Not only were the blankets extremely thin, they were worn and old. The towels were of poor quality, dingy, and rough. The bathtub appeared to have been cleaned, perhaps sometime in the past year. It too needed to be wiped with the Lysol wipes. The seat of the commode was blistered from age. The beds are a standard Full. However, our room confirmation and charges clearly state the beds were to be Queen size. In fact, the room beds were described by the front desk clerk as Queen. The beds are no larger than standard Full, and were uncomfortable. The sheets were stained, however, they did pass a black light inspection. (Yes, we carry one for stays such as at this hotel.) Arriving on Saturday for a two-night stay, we needed to request additional towels since an insufficient number were initially provided. Leaving the hotel to enjoy Sunday in the colonial area, we returned that evening to find that Housekeeping did not clean our room, make the beds, replace used towels, or restock the provided coffee/tea supplies. Another visit to the front desk to obtain clean towels, there was no apology for the housekeeping issue. No apology, no offer to rectify things, nothing. The only response from the Sunday night desk clerk was the manager will be on-site in the morning. Visitors to the colonial area of Williamsburg, Virginia should be keenly aware there are a large number of hotels available for their stay. Pass this property by. Radisson should take note of this property since that company name is associated with it.

"What an incredible disappointment."
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed October 27, 2018
We thought we were "upgrading" when we chose to stay at a Country Inn & Suites over some of the less expensive options in the area of Williamsburg. When we arrived, while the desk was unattended, the reception area seemed nice, so when someone finally appeared, we went ahead and checked in. It went downhill from there. We drove around to the parking to find the parking overhang was collapsing and only partially covered by tarp as the insulation and internal works hang out. The back entrance was taped over and the lock not functional, so no key card was needed to enter, leaving little security. The rest of the hotel stinks of humidity and mustiness. Our room also carried that smell, but it wasn't until we were undressing later that evening and pulled the curtains that we found mold up and down the curtains. Painted over wallpaper is peeling in various parts of the hallways and dining room. The toilet seems to have backed up and been roto-rooted but the wall between toilet and shower wasn't cleaned. If it can't be cleaned now, it should be painted over - disgusting! The pillows on our king size bed were no more than throw pillows. If you are willing to stay in such a poorly maintained hotel, there are plenty of cheaper options nearby. I'll be making other choices from now on... The disappointment just went on and on.
