The hotel is in a great location. The hotel needs to be up-dated. The staff were very friendly and informative. I liked the fact that a coffee pot was in the room. Wish there would have been a small refrigerator in the room. Our room was clean and we had a good supply of towels for the 2 of us. For the most part, the hotel was fine to stay in for one night. Price was reasonable. I would stay there again if I couldn't find another hotel in the area.
This hotel is in the perfect location for visiting all of the sites in Williamsburg - including historic Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Busch Gardens. There are countless pancake and waffles breakfast places nearby to start off your day. It's easy to find and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend!
The staff was great, especially the woman at the front desk when we arrived.(about 1pm10/16) The room was nice, wish the rug was thicker. There was only two free plugs though, with all the portables more would be nice. The dressers middle drawer was inaccessible due to it being overhung by the top one. Room was 339 I believe, near the elevator.
I wanted to start out by saying that the customer service was impeccable. The staff was extremely cortious and helpful. The location can't be beat! Your right in the middle of everything! That being said, almost every negative thing I read about this hotel was true. We got a great deal through booking.com and honestly unless you were willing to spend a lot of money most of the hotels in the area had about the same reviews. The room was on the small side and it definitely needed updating. The first room we received had crusted vomit.... I kid you not vomit on the carpet. I have a 15 month old she walks and plays on the floor. I'm not having her play on the vomit. The sheets had blood stains on them and the room smelled like pee. We spoke to the man at the desk, he was more than happy to come up to the room, agreed it was unacceptable and moved us. The second room was mostly clean but the air conditioning unit has the vent part broken and open and molded inside, which my toddler felt was her new toy. The third room was much better and mostly clean. The cleaning staff did not clean our room the first day and the second day they had to bring back our comforter later and they did not clean the carpet. It still had pizza crumbs on the floor from the previous night. (what do you want I have a toddler). I don't think they actually changed our sheets just made the bed and did not replace our towels. The indoor pool is ok it needs to be better cleaned and it was like ice. We were there in August. The restaurant is creepy don't bother it reaks of smoke and the crowd at night is dicey. It's a bar not a family place. There are fabulous places in town aromas cafe is amazing take the family there. Our stay was pleasant not great but you really couldn't beat the price. I loved the staff I just wished it was cleaner and brighter. I don't think I would stay again. Oh and the key cards kind of funny they don't work well. I get the feeling it's a new system but the staff was more than willing to help us and changed our twice. Oh and no continental breakfast. Sad face, other hotels in the area have that. I wish I could have written a better review because they really are so nice abs apologetic. Williamsburg itself was an amazing trip! I can't wait to come back!
