"Comfortable and clean"

My husband and i stayed here for the weekend and had a pleasant experience. Close to historic district and theme parks, the horse pasture is right across the street and was lovely to look out at in the morning. We had read about the renovations but it seemed to have all been done by the time we visited. Rooms were clean and decor was nice. Beds were comfortable and linens were nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend a visit here.

"easy summer weekend"

I had great experience at this hotel. My gilfriend and I were just looking for a quiet weekend at the theme parks and the colonial area and this hotel was close to both. We showed up rather early and one front desk person, sorry I can't remember her name, let us into our room early. It was very sweet of her. Another front desk person, named Anna, was kind enough to notice that I had left my dome light on in my car and called to tell me. Stellar convenient as that could have been an expensive mistake. My only complaint and this is a nitpick is that the building was being worked on during the day and on the day we arrived it was a little loud in the halls. That really is a nothing complaint though especially as we got in early. Thanks. I think we will be back again.

Clean, quiet despite recent renovations. Anna was awesomely helpful, very friendly towards my dog(he loved her and he is an excellent judge of character). Plenty of hot water for showers. My boys loved the pool.

We checked in on Sunday, Aug 21 we arrived early around 1pm. Didn't expect the room to be ready but tried anyway ( We drove 6 hours so were hot & tired )..I work in a hotel so I know not to expect the room to be ready before check-in time especially with a heavy check out day. The room wasn't ready so we went to lunch..Were able to check in at 3:30..front desk were very nice (didn't get their names). I've been reading reviews on this property before we arrived and I admit was a little nervous about the mixed reviews..Our room didn't originally have a fridge but we called and were moved to the business floor with fridges and microwaves, which made us very happy! Once we got to the room we were very happy to see the renovations..bathroom was very nice..everything in the room seemed to be very clean. Very happy with the room, we had two double beds. Not sure if the pool area is being updated but I think that would be the only thing negative, the top of the roof is peeling. The hot tub was filled with sand the entire time we were there. Other then that we had a really good stay. All the staff was very friendly. We were so close to Busch Gardens and all other attractions. Last year we stayed at another hotel but this year they were going through renovations and the pool and restaurant were both closed so we wanted to find somewhere else to go. Happy we came to the Clarion, we will stay again!

"Pleasant surprise"

I was surprised about the hotel. The clerk that helped us to check in Anna was a real breath of fresh air and more than willing to help. My son of course loved the pool and I was happy that it was semi indoors in a greenhouse type area with what I think was a retractable roof. Next time I'm in the area I'll definitely stay there again. I hope miss Anna will be there next time too.
