The only downside to the whole day was the overwhelming amount of yellow jackets at the park. I really doubt there is anything water country can do about it considering I saw buckets hanging from certain stations. Otherwise I had a lot of fun and the rides were spectacular.

This was a day trip with 6 of my grandchildren ages 16, 14, 11, 6, 5 and 2. We were able to entertain everyone and everyone had a great time!! The staff were helpful and friendly!! The park is beautiful and very clean!!! The cost of the tickets also made the trip even better!!
Tip: we brought our meal with us; however once we got in the park we found it to hard to leave and walk back to our car so we bit the bullet and ate our meal in the park.

"Great Park - Lousy Pizza - Expensive Locker Fee"
Reviewed July, 2016 NEW
We got a cheese pizza at the main entrance on the way to the wave pool and I have to say it was the worst pizza I've ever had. Frozen would have seemed gourmet. It was loaded with some kind of cheap cheese and very little evidence of tomato sauce, and very greasy!
Tip: The standard size locker was very small costing $13.00 even for a few hours. Save $15.00 parking fee by catching the bus at the Col. Williamsburg Visitor Center (picking up and dropping off right at the gate hourly).

It was a very awesome experience. Our family loved how kind and friendly and clean how the park was. The lines were long but moved at a very fast pace. I am definitely coming back before the end of the summer.
Tip: Bring money for food and drinks and wear swim shoes.

"BEst way to buy tickets to Water Country USA!"
Reviewed July, 2016 NEW
We bought our tickets to Water Country USA on Reserve Williamsburg. It was very easy and we saved $45.00 on the cost of the tickets. We did not even need to print them out, we just showed the e-tickets sent via email to my phone when we got to the park. They scanned the tickets right from my phone at the park gate. Would definitely buy tickets through Reserve Williamsburg again!
Tip: Get there early. They run out of reserved loungers and cabanas if you want to reserve one at the park!

"Great time on a cloudy day!"
Reviewed July, 2016 NEW
My children ages 16, 14 and 11 had a great day at Water Country. Since it rained earlier in the day there were few people in the park and there were no lines. The overcast kept the sun down and the warm weather kept them going back to ride again-and-again until closing time!

We drove for 5 hours to this water park and had the best time ever. My 3 grand daughters ages 3,6 and 9 were able to ride many of the water slides together which in itself was amazing for them to be able to be together despite their age differences. Park is very family and kid friendly and provides 11 areas of diverse water experiences. We plan to make that worthwhile trip again soon.

We had an excellent time in Williamsburg, especially Water Country USA. When the weather is hot, Water Country USA is the perfect place to cool off when you are miles away from the beach.
Tip: Make sure you have your swimsuits and towels handy before heading over.

"Bees and Ants Galore!"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed July 25, 2016 NEW

My family and I visited water country USA on Saturday. We were so excited to get a good deal on Groupon so we prepaid for loungers and umbrellas that were reserved all day. We were really excited until our VIP turned into VIBeeeeeeee!!! 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 The bees were everywhere. We ate a hearty breakfast before we left the hotel so we didn't have to eat lunch until later in the afternoon. From the time we arrived at the park, we were swarmed with bees! We ask the attendants if there was anything they could do but they said there wasn't, only the cabanas had been treated. So much for our VIP experience! We ate at about 3:00 only to find out all of the eateries are outside! Then the ants came crawling everywhere! They got into our bags, the baby's stroller, on the loungers....everywhere! We packed up at this point and had the attendant call guest services. The guy that came said that since we had been there the entire day, he could only refund us for 50% of the cost. The bees and ants really ruined our day and I highly recommend you take some spray or natural remedies if you want to have a relaxing day at this water park.

"Too Busy during Heat Wave"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed July 25, 2016 NEW

We were a group of 7 with 3 teenaged boys. It was sweltering hot and we decided to spend the day (we purchased a Busch Gardens/Water Country pass). First day we arrived at 2pm and the place was packed. Line ups were long for the slides/rides, although we could spend time on the slower attractions (Lazy River, etc.). It was hard to find space to sit & wait while the boys were waiting for rides. Next day we arrived at 11:30am and it was just as busy. To be fair, it was a heat wave and that no doubt contributed to how busy it was. However, I would strongly suggest getting to the park when it opens and getting the quick pass (they sell out quickly) if you want to avoid long waits for the best rides.
