I had not been to water country for quite a while, infact, since I was 12 or so...., but wanted to take my kids (who are 11 and 12). We had so much fun!! We will be heading back next year, and may even get season passes.

"Splash with a blast!"
September, 2018 NEW
This was one of my favorite places to go. It started perfectly with the ease of purchashing discount tickets online for the three of us. My boyfriend, Steve and his daughter Rebecca who is 10. Lucky us got complimentary parking which is usually $15 per car! We headed straight to the wave pool, so much fun! The lines were not terrible due to it being a weekday ( went on a Tuesday). Lockers were useful for sunblock and towels. We also were smart about packing a cooler of food, snacks and Gatorade in our car. As lunch time approahed we walked back to car and had a picnic in the shade of a tree. It was so relaxing. Then we went back for some more rides and ended our fun day at the Hubba Highway( lazy river). Plenty of life jackets were available and I like those better than the tubes. So glad I bought tickets online! Do it! Save yourself time and money!

"Water slides, wave pools, water rides GALORE!!!!"
September, 2018 NEW
My whole family JUST LOVED this place! These are AWESOME rides for little ones all the way up to grownups. Bring good walking sandals that can get wet, and/or be stuffed into a free small, public storage cubby at each ride. Wear sunglasses that won't fall off or you don't mind getting wet. Bring head cover that can be smushed into a cubby between rides. There are lots of trees around but the sun can be too much.

Tip: Everything is expensive: food, drink, storage lockers. My husband paid almost $65 for lunch, for 2 adults and 2 elementary-school kids.

"We Love Water Country"

We've been to some really great water parks but we love coming home to Water Country. We know it's not the best and doesn't have all the latest gadgets and we know that Orlando's Water Parks have more variety and clever theming but this park is a great home-style park. Fun slides with a variety from your mild rider to your thrill seeker. The food choices are vastly improved and the passes are reasonable. It's a nice break away from the history of Williamsburg.

You can combine tickets for Wter country and Bush Gardens. There is a nice Target and other stores near the entrance to water country, to pick up that last minute sun screen or sunglasses.

"Old place "
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed September 13, 2018 NEW
This place is old and very obviously in need of a facelift. It’s such a shame to see because years ago Busch Gardens and Water Country were “the” place to go. No more. They are not maintaining it like they used to. Nor are they reinvesting into their future. It’s the same as it was years ago. And don’t bother buying a quick pass because it only works once. I’m handicapped and can’t stand for long due to an artificial knee & hip due to sports injuries. They have nothing to accommodate me. We are buying season passes to KD next year.

"Great way to cool off"

We went with the grandkids. There were rides for everyone and some "challenge by choice" opportunities. Crowd management was excellent for wait times. The $35 "fast pass" did get 3 times the rides. It worked for Ben, but not for Sam. Let them go with a "new friend". Snacks were as expected, pricey, but not outrageous.
