Description

from Halloween Haunt
Terror lurks around every corner at the annual Halloween Haunt at Kings Dominion. From the thrilling rides to the frightful attractions, you’re in for some extreme screams. Are you brave enough to venture through haunted mazes, terrifying scare zones or sit in the fright zone at our thrilling shows? Over 400 monsters will descend upon the park each night of Haunt this fall.

Guests who are brave enough can enjoy haunted mazes, terrifying scare zones plus several live shows. If that isn’t enough fun, get your thrill fix on many of your favorite rides, including Intimidator™ 305, as fog and darkness blanket the park.

WARNING! This event is too intense for young children. Parental discretion is advised. Park turns scary at 7PM.

Kings Dominion will debut three gruesome new experiences as the dreadful fun of Halloween Haunt returns for its 18th frightful season. The Great Pumpkin Fest also returns on September 22 with family-friendly Halloween fun in Planet Snoopy.

Adding to an already macabre lineup of mazes, monsters, and live entertainment, the new Halloween Haunt highlights a new maze concept, new prison-themed scare zone, and a high-energy percussion show.

NEW MAZE: Condemned
Rumors have been floating around Kings Dominion since the 50’s – of a wedding at Darkside Manor that ended in the disappearance of the entire wedding party. After this horrific event, the property was sealed and forgotten about until this year. Rumor has it that people can hear strange sounds and figures that can only be described as the supernatural. Grab a flashlight and follow a group of paranormal investigators through the complete darkness to see if the reports are true.

NEW SCARE ZONE: The Yard
For years, The Yard of Doswell State Penitentiary was the only place the prisoners could go to get out of their cells and escape the close eye of the evil warden and his guards. The vindictive warden ordered all inmates to be confined to their cells and demanded his sadistic guards to torture and permanently silence the prisoners. Their souls were left in one unmarked mass grave – The Yard. The guards of Doswell State still patrol The Yard ready to silence their next prisoners.

NEW SHOW: Blood Drums
The apocalyptic sounds of Blood Drums rule the night with an explosive blend of percussion that will leave you in the wake of its heavy beats. Featuring a mixture of heavy junkyard grunge and raw rhythms, Blood Drums will get your heart pumping.

In total, those who dare can brave eight mazes, five scare zones and a variety of live shows during Halloween Haunt, which features the largest scare force in the region with hundreds of monsters roaming the midways. During the nighttime event, guests can also get their adrenaline fix on more than 20 rides, including Twisted Timbers, Intimidator™ 305 and Dominator, as fog and darkness blanket the park.

For daytime Halloween fun with no fear, the park holds The Great Pumpkin Fest in Planet Snoopy. There are delightful surprises hiding around every corner, from hay mazes to a pumpkin painting patch. Kids can take part in educational and interactive animal and reptile shows in addition to the festive activities and their favorite rides in Planet Snoopy. The Great Pumpkin Fest is held Saturdays and Sundays from September 22 through October 28 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
